Permit Test Requirements
For students opting to take the permit test at the DPS, bring the following:
Documents Needed
- Original birth certificate, US passport, or green card
- Social security card
- Two bills showing your current address
For Out-of-State or Foreign Applicants
- Passport, out-of-state ID, and a third form of ID (such as a voter card, school ID, or shot records)
- If lacking a social security card, complete a social security affidavit
